Baseball Recap: Fairfield Comes Up Short

Fairfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oak Hills Highlanders. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Highlanders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-4 loss back in April.

Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Oak Hills, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fairfield is set to challenge their familiar foe Hamilton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Oak Hills will square off against rival Colerain at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
