Soccer Recap: MacArthur Takes a Loss

After soaring to six goals the game before, MacArthur was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Jacksonville Crimsons. While losing is never fun, MacArthur can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while Jacksonville are ranked 105th).

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-2. As for Jacksonville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season.

MacArthur has already played their next match, a 9-0 loss against Normal University on the 23rd. As for Jacksonville, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Quincy on the 22nd.
