Basketball Recap: Milan Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Milan entered their contest against Trenton on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Milan Wildcats fell to the Trenton Bulldogs 44-40. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Milan lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Marian Dabney, who posted ten points and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Mya Pauley, who scored nine points and seven rebounds.

Milan's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3. As for Trenton, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

While Milan had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
