Pompano Beach entered their tilt with Somerset Academy on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 5-1. For the Golden Tornadoes, this counts as revenge for the 4-1 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

GABI OLIVER was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Pompano Beach's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Somerset Academy, they dropped their record down to 6-8-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Pompano Beach and Somerset Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Golden Tornadoes (ranked 126th) will meet Everglades (ranked 438th) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Somerset Academy will square off against Cypress Bay at 3:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (105 vs. 284).
