Basketball Recap: Greenfield Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Greenfield faced off against Early on Friday. The Greenfield Wildcats lost to the Early Panthers on the road by a 61-44 margin. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 62-55.

Greenfield has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Early, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Greenfield will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Golden City at 6:00 p.m. on January 6th. Early has already played their next contest, a 73-40 defeat against Walnut Grove on the 30th.
