Basketball Game Preview: Mountainburg Dragons vs. Acorn Tigers

Mountainburg has won three straight games at home, while Acorn has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Mountainburg Dragons will welcome the Acorn Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Tuesday, Mountainburg took their matchup with ease, bagging a 64-33 victory over Hector. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Wildcats are ranked 220th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Acorn was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Danville 63-32.

Mountainburg has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points per game. As for Acorn, their win bumped their record up to 19-4.
