Volleyball Recap: Bay City Blackcats vs. Sealy Tigers
Bay City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Sealy Tigers. If the Blackcats were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Sealy scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19.
Kolbie Davis paced Bay City's offense, picking up four kills. Davis got some help from Delanie Huerta and her nine assists.
Bay City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Sealy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.
Bay City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Danbury on the 21st. As for Sealy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Van Vleck on the 21st.
