It's playoff time, and Cypress Creek had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wesley Chapel Wildcats a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Coyotes have won 12 matches by more than three goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Avery Blevins and Annalisse Vizza scored all four of Cypress Creek's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 36 goals.

The victory (which was Cypress Creek's fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-4. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for Wesley Chapel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8-3.

Cypress Creek will welcome Auburndale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Cypress Creek's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last five games. Wesley Chapel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
