Recap: South Adams Starfires vs. Adams Central Flying Jets

The South Adams Starfires's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Adams Central, falling 78-45. South Adams has not had much luck with Adams Central recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the defeat, South Adams saw an underclassman step up: Tytus Lehman scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Wanner, who scored seven points along with three steals.

South Adams dropped their record down to 2-16 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Adams Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.

South Adams will head out on the road to take on Bellmont at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Adams will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 421st, while Bellmont is ranked 65th). As for Adams Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-44 victory vs. Eastside on the 10th.
