Baseball Recap: Goddard Takes a Loss

Goddard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 7-1 to the Roswell Coyotes. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rockets have suffered against the Coyotes since May 18, 2021.

Donovan Davis was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Goddard's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Roswell, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Goddard beat Roswell by a score of 11-1 on Friday.
