Averill Park had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 6-5 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks by a score of 7-4. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 9-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

As for Saratoga Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-4 Columbia (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 55.1% over those games).

For Saratoga Springs' part, Nia Law was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that Law has hit this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Averill Park will host Columbia at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Saratoga Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chatham at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 0.9 runs per game this season, so the Blue Streaks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
