Basketball Preview: Woodland Hills Wolverines vs. Plum Mustangs
The Woodland Hills Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Plum Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, Woodland Hills came up short against the Titans and fell 67-55. While losing is never fun, Woodland Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Titans are ranked ninth).
Meanwhile, Plum's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight defeat. They took a hard 70-55 fall against Fox Chapel.
Woodland Hills' loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Plum, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-12.
Woodland Hills was able to grind out a solid win over the Mustangs in their previous matchup back in January, winning 57-45. Will Woodland Hills repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
