Volleyball Recap: Ursuline Academy Comes Up Short

Ursuline Academy lost against Woburn Memorial back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bears took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tanners. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-19, 23-25, 25-13, 25-22.

Sydney Long paced Ursuline Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Long got some help from Lauren Kelley and her 11 assists. Rowan Luber controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Alina Ayanian, who had 14 digs and two assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last seven matches.

Ursuline Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Woburn Memorial, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Ursuline Academy has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Maimonides on the 20th. Woburn Memorial has also already played their next matchup (against Winchester), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
