Basketball Recap: Ignacio Comes Up Short

Ignacio lost against Centauri back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ignacio Bobcats were dealt a 52-22 defeat at the hands of the Centauri Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Falcons are ranked 32nd).

Ignacio has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. The win was the sixth in a row for Centauri, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.

Ignacio does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Centauri, they will challenge Alamosa at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Alamosa has won five straight at home, while Centauri won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
