Recap: Wise Pumas vs. Bowie Bulldogs
On Friday, The Wise Pumas got themselves on the board against the Bowie Bulldogs , but the Bowie Bulldogs never followed suit. They breezed by the Bulldogs at home to the tune of 45-0. The result was nothing new for Wise, who have now won four matches by 48 points or more so far this season.
Wise's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was DeCarlos Young, who rushed for 177 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Young's longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Gregory Pruitt 3rd, who rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Wise's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-1. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 7-1 Flowers and 6-2 Eleanor Roosevelt (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 63.8% over those games). As for Bowie, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
Wise does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bowie is also done with their season.
