Stratford is ranked highly in their home state and on Wednesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of James Madison. The Knights took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warhawks. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Dom Longello put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That one earned run gave him a new career-low. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Jameson Lee was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Stratford's defeat dropped their record down to 14-3-2. As for James Madison, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Looking ahead, Stratford will take on Berkeley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Stags' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
