Football Recap: Haskell Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Haskell dropped down to 5-4 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They took a blow against the Windthorst Trojans, falling 52-14. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 55-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Haskell still got an impressive performance from Haegen Pinkerton, who rushed for 150 yards and one score while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 75 yards and one TD. The Indians are 4-2 when Pinkerton posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Ethan Camaco also deserves some recognition as he hauled in his first receiving touchdown of the season.

As for Windthorst, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games.

Brock Belcher was his usual excellent self, rushing for 129 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 116 yards and three TDs. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last five games he's played. Adam Barton also helped out as he racked up 139 rushing yards.

Coincidentally, Haskell and Windthorst will both be playing Electra the next time they take the field. The Trojans will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Indians will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 7.
