Softball Recap: Piggott Comes Up Short

Piggott fell victim to Riverside and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 15-0 to the Rebels. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Mohawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Piggott's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Riverside, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Piggott will face off against rival Buffalo Island Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Riverside is set to challenge their familiar foe Rector at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
