Basketball Game Preview: East Leopards vs. Olympus Titans

East is 1-9 against Olympus since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The East Leopards will challenge the Olympus Titans at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, East earned a 49-38 victory over Highland. The Leopards haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Olympus strolled past Alta with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 63-46. The Titans pushed the score to 45-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hawks cut but never quite recovered from.

East better keep an eye on Joss Baker. She was instrumental in Olympus' win, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. The match was Baker's seventh in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Cammie Bontempo, who posted nine points and eight rebounds.

East's victory bumped their record up to 5-15. As for Olympus, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.

East came up short against Olympus in their previous meeting back in January, falling 53-44. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Baker, who went 9 of 17 on her way to 25 points in addition to eight boards and four steals.
