Football Recap: Canterbury Comes Up Short

The Canterbury Cougars lost to the Sarasota Christian Blazers on the road by a 28-14 margin on Friday.

Sarasota Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Justin Brock out in front who picked up 86 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Those four receiving touchdowns gave Brock a new career-high. Another signal caller making a difference was Ben Milliken, who threw for 206 yards and four TDs.

Canterbury's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sarasota Christian, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Canterbury will challenge rival Santa Fe Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sarasota Christian is set to take on their familiar foe Saint Stephen's Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Blazers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
