Basketball Game Preview: Sunset Knights vs. TERRA Environmental

Sunset is 1-9 against TERRA Environmental since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Sunset Knights will head out on the road to take on TERRA Environmental at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Thursday, Sunset took a blow against Lourdes Academy, falling 53-23. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gleidy Flores was Sunset's leading scorer, having posted ten points. Gabriela Rojas held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, TERRA Environmental was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Ransom Everglades and fell 55-27. TERRA Environmental was down 44-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Loss or not, TERRA Environmental got some senior leadership from Celeste Teboe and Angie Barrios. Teboe posted eight points and eight rebounds, while Barrios had 11 points along with six boards and four steals. Barrios is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

TERRA Environmental's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Sunset, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Sunset ended up a good deal behind TERRA Environmental in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, losing 40-24. Can Sunset avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
