Flag Football Recap: Hawkinsville Takes a Loss

Hawkinsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The game between the Red Devils and the Treutlen Vikings didn't end well, with the Red Devils falling 25-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-7 last Wednesday.

Rheaghan Powers threw for 33 yards and one touchdown. Kahshayla Duhart was her top target, picking up 34 receiving yards. On the ground, Malia Hunlen rushed for 43 yards.

Hawkinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Treutlen, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-4.

Coming up, Hawkinsville will take on Montgomery County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Treutlen, they have already played their next matchup, a 39-7 loss against Dodge County on the 6th.
