Soccer Recap: Piper Comes Up Short

Piper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Louisburg Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that Piper have lost by just one goal.

Piper's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Louisburg, their win bumped their record up to 2-0-2.

Piper and Louisburg will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Pirates will challenge rival Lansing at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Louisburg is set to take on their familiar foe Spring Hill on Tuesday.
