Basketball Game Preview: L'Anse Purple Hornets vs. Houghton Gremlins + How To Watch

L'Anse hasn't had much luck against Houghton recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Purple Hornets will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Gremlins at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

L'Anse is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Ontonagon. The Purple Hornets were the clear victors by a 66-42 margin over the Gladiators on Monday. The Purple Hornets not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since January 10th (when they won 60-35).

L'Anse's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Keegan Davidson, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 18 points along with six boards and three steals, and Sam Lee, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds. Lee has been hot recently, having also posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. Miles Vanalstine was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, Houghton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 74-70 to Dollar Bay.
