Football Recap: Queen City Bulldogs vs. Grace Community Cougars

Queen City kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 38-26 to the Grace Community Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 804th, while the Cougars are ranked 390th).

Despite the loss, Queen City still got an impressive performance from Hunter Parker, who rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 196 yards and a touchdown on only 17 passes. Parker got the majority of those yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible58 yards. Jason Joffray also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Queen City wouldn't let Grace Community keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Joffray was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance. His also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing two fumbles.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Queen City will take on Harleton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Grace Community, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against First Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
