Baseball Recap: Sterling Comes Up Short

Sterling fell victim to Fletcher and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 9-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in February.

Sterling has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Fletcher, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-8.

Coming up, Sterling will host Walters at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fletcher, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-2 victory against Hydro-Eakly on the 16th.
