Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Victory Christian Academy's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Victory Christian Academy walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Escondido Charter Tigers on Tuesday. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2022.

Victory Christian Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 12-25, 25-17, 25-18, 25-22.

Victory Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-17 record this season. As for Escondido Charter, they dropped their record down to 22-15 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Victory Christian Academy will take on Del Lago Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Escondido Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
