Trevor Lawrence, the 6-foot-5, 195-pound quarterback from Cartersville (Cartersville, Ga.), claimed the top spot in the initial 247Sports Top 100 for the Class of 2018.

As a ninth-grade signal-caller in the fall, Lawrence threw for 3,042 yards and 26 touchdowns, leading Cartersville to a 12-2 season.

In doing so, Lawrence earned MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year honors, joining the likes of Kelvin Taylor, Jabrill Peppers and Nick Bosa.

Lawrence leads an impressive 2018 class that also features Virginia running back Ricky Slade, South Carolina quarterback/athlete Dakereon Joyner and South Carolina defensive end Xavier Thomas.
