Softball Recap: Pitman Wins Going Away Against Gustine

Pitman's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Gustine Reds 14-4. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Pride's hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

The team relied heavily on Kamryn Costa, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ivy Butler, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Pitman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Pitman moved to 6-13 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Gustine, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Pitman will take on Pacheco in a tournament on Friday. As for Gustine, they will be taking part in a tournament against Millennium at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
