Basketball Recap: Killian Hill Christian Cougars vs. Victory Baptist Warrior        
        
		
            
 The Killian Hill Christian Cougars fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back  wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Victory Baptist by a score of  47-39  on Thursday. This was payback for Killian Hill Christian, who suffered a  44-39  defeat the last time these two teams met.
 Killian Hill Christian was led to victory by  Hawthorne Herring and  Nick Davis.  Herring  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and 19  rebounds, while  Davis  almost  dropped  a double-double on 19 points and nine  rebounds. Herring is on a roll when it comes to  rebounds, as he's  now  pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Damon Mhlawuli, who  scored five points along with three  steals.
 Killian Hill Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Victory Baptist, their loss was  their fifth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 7-11.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Killian Hill Christian won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against the Eagles at 6:30  p.m.  on February 2nd. Young Americans Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 413 points over their last six contests. As for Victory Baptist, they will head out on the road to  square off against  the Knights at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday.
