Basketball Recap: Randolph School Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Randolph School Raiders had to suffer through a 88-55 loss at the hands of the Florence Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Falcons are ranked 11th).

Randolph School's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Florence, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Randolph School will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on West Limestone at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Florence and Buckhorn will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Florence knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Buckhorn likes a good challenge.
