Baseball Game Preview: Cabrillo Jaguars vs. Lakewood Lancers

Cabrillo is 0-10 against Lakewood since April of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Jaguars will welcome the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. Cabrillo will be strutting in after a victory while Lakewood will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Cabrillo turned things around against Compton on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Tarbabes.

Cabrillo's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Adam Rosalez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs Rosalez has posted since back in February. Eli Torres was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Lakewood lost 12-3 to Millikan on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lancers in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost four in a row.

Lakewood's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Cabrillo, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 4-21.
