Basketball Recap: Houston Takes a Loss

Houston was the 49-43 winner over Nikiski when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Houston Hawks were beaten by the Nikiski Bulldogs 63-23 on Friday. The Hawks were down 47-16 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Houston has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. Nikiski moved to 7-14 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Houston will take on Homer at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Nikiski, they and Redington will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
