Basketball Recap: Jack Garner and Antrell Agee Secure Win for Mize

Mize won the last time they faced Seminary and things went their way on Tuesday too. Mize came out on top against Seminary by a score of 49-36. Mize pushed the score to 39-16 by the end of the third, a deficit Seminary cut but never quite recovered from.

Leading Mize to victory were Antrell Agee and Jack Garner. Agee made all 5 shots he took racking up 11 points, while Garner posted ten points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamiyon Gray, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds.

Mize smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in seven consecutive matchups.

Mize's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Seminary, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mize will venture away from home to take on McLaurin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Seminary, they will head out to challenge Jefferson Davis County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
