Basketball Game Preview: Badger Braves vs. Lowellville Rockets

The Badger Braves will take on the Lowellville Rockets at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lowellville took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Badger, who comes in off a win.

Badger is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Mathews: they outscored them in every quarter. Badger took down Mathews 51-35 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Braves.

It was another big night for Gabriella Miller, who posted 25 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. That's the most boards she has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Stanhope, who had 11 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Lowellville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 58-52 to McDonald.

Lowellville's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Badger, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.

Badger came up short against Lowellville when the teams last played back in February of 2022, falling 60-55. Can Badger avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
