West Washington had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They walked away with  a   7-2  victory over the Perry Central Commodores. That's more bragging rights for the Senators, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Emery Haub spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Emma Schmidt was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with two  doubles, one  stolen base,  and one  run. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April.  Macy Lowery was another key player,  going 2-for-5 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 West Washington  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in nine consecutive  matchups.
West Washington's win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 16-4. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Perry Central, their loss  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 10-9.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Washington will take on Henryville at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Perry Central, they will head out to  challenge Northeast Dubois  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
