Preview: Pine Bluffs vs. Wright
Wright had trouble last Friday, and unfortunately for them, their opponent this week is a big step up in difficulty. They will challenge Pine Bluffs on the road at 6:00 PM on Friday. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Wright, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Wright couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were completely outmatched, falling 6-46 to Burns. Wright were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-46.
Meanwhile, Pine Bluffs took care of business in their home opener. They blew past Yuma 27-0. The margin was wide but not a surprise since Pine Bluffs are ranked far ahead of Yuma in the MaxPreps state rankings.
Pine Bluffs's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Wright's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Pine Bluffs can add another positive mark to their record or if Wright can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Pine Bluffs's step.
