Softball Game Preview: Menomonie Mustangs vs. Eau Claire North Huskies

For the second straight game, Menomonie will face off against Eau Claire North. The Mustangs will head out to challenge the Huskies at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Menomonie took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Eau Claire North by a score of 7-4.

For Eau Claire North's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Fuerst, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Abbi Kosterman also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Menomonie has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Eau Claire North, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.
