Soccer Game Preview: Victoria Soto vs. Rickover Naval

The Victoria Soto Wolves will head out to take on the Rickover Naval Seadragons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Victoria Soto is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.

Victoria Soto will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals last Wednesday, then bounced right back against Roosevelt on Thursday. Wolves put the hurt on the Rough Riders with a sharp 6-2 win. It was an even better day for Emely Cruz as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Rickover Naval kept a clean sheet against Schurz on Monday. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0.

The victory got Rickover Naval back to even at 2-2-1. As for Victoria Soto, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Victoria Soto was able to grind out a solid victory over Rickover Naval in their previous meeting back in May of 2019, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wolves since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
