Baseball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial had lost ten straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 4-19 to make it 11. They lost 12-3 to the Morningside Monarchs. The Apaches were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Monarchs earlier this season, when they won 8-6.

As for Morningside, their win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-21. That looming 12-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

For Morningside's part, Edison Macias was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. The Monarchs are 2-1 when Macias posts three or more RBI, but 1-20 otherwise. Ramiro Hernandez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

As of now, neither Centennial nor Morningside have any future games scheduled.
