J.L. Mann never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the Spartanburg Vikings 9-0. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Josh Carlson tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaido Greene, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and three RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Will Cantillion also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

J.L. Mann has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Spartanburg, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-19.
