Baseball Recap: Armstrong Comes Up Short

Armstrong was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Greater Latrobe Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-4 on Monday.

Chase Jablonski made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Armstrong: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-10 otherwise.

Armstrong's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Greater Latrobe, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Armstrong is taking a road trip to take on Burrell at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greater Latrobe, they will host Plum at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
