Basketball Recap: West Takes a Loss

West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 71-60 to the Piper Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Pirates are ranked fourth).

West now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Piper, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West will head out to face off against Lansing on Tuesday. As for Piper, they will challenge Turner at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
