Volleyball Recap: NSU University Comes Up Short

If NSU University was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Marathon on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sharks came up short against the North Broward Prep Eagles on Thursday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Sharks in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-17.

Daniella Lugo paced NSU University's offense, picking up six kills. Lugo got some help from Sloane Smith and her 11 assists. Lugo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Destiny Wiggins was a one-woman wrecking crew For North Broward Prep. as she had 14 digs and six aces. That's the most aces Wiggins has posted since back in August of 2024.

NSU University's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for North Broward Prep, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

NSU University didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Sagemont P on the 22nd. As for North Broward Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Coral Springs Charter on the 22nd.
