Softball Recap: Conrad Weiser Triumphs

Conrad Weiser won the last time they faced Cocalico and things went their way on Friday too. The Scouts walked away with an 8-3 win over the Eagles.

Aleena Martino made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Skylir Berger, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2025. Payton Kramlich also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Conrad Weiser hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cocalico struck out eight times.

Conrad Weiser's victory bumped their record up to 3-14. As for Cocalico, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Conrad Weiser didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-2 defeat against Twin Valley on the 25th. As for Cocalico, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-0 loss against Donegal on the 27th.
