Baseball Recap: Douglass Comes Up Short

Douglass managed to slip by Poly the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mighty Ducks lost 14-0 to the Engineers on Wednesday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Mighty Ducks were not able to get on the board.

Douglass saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kevin Roche-Ramos, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one stolen base. Roche-Ramos has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Douglass' defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Poly, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Douglass will host Patterson at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Poly, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Randallstown at 4:00 p.m.
