Basketball Recap: Rice Lake Skates Past New Richmond with Ease

Rice Lake entered their tilt with New Richmond on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the New Richmond Tigers, posting a 78-38 victory. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Rice Lake to victory were Adaline Sheplee and Addison Schmidt. Sheplee dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten boards, while Schmidt dropped a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Sheplee has scored at least a third of Rice Lake's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Schradle, who went 5 for 7 en route to 10 points and five boards.

Rice Lake was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Rice Lake's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for New Richmond, they dropped their record down to 5-11 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Rice Lake will head out to face off against Menomonie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rice Lake has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for New Richmond, they will welcome Eau Claire North at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
