Baseball Recap: Silverado Takes a Loss

Silverado fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Legacy on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 6-5. The Skyhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Longhorns apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Silverado saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adam Rhodus, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

Silverado moved to 10-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Legacy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silverado will head out to take on Eldorado at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Legacy, they will venture away from home to challenge Faith Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
