Football Recap: Carolina Academy Takes a Loss

Carolina Academy lost against Beaufort Academy back in November of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bobcats fell 41-28 to the Eagles. While the Bobcats had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Eagles 15-8.

Nych Underwood was a one-man wrecking crew For Beaufort Academy. as he rushed for 366 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.1 yards per carry. Those 366 rushing yards gave Underwood a new career-high. Nic Shuford was another key player, rushing for 42 yards.

Carolina Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Beaufort Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carolina Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dillon Christian at 7:30 p.m. on September 5. As for Beaufort Academy, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against St. John's Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
