Football Game Preview: Leo Lions vs. De La Salle Meteors + How To Watch

Leo hasn't had much luck against De La Salle recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Meteors at 7:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Leo's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against St. Laurence on Saturday. They were outmatched by the Vikings and fell 41-0. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Vikings are ranked 53rd).

Meanwhile, De La Salle also failed to score in their most recent game. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of Fenwick. The Meteors haven't had much luck with the Friars recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Leo now has a losing record of 2-3. As for De La Salle, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Leo took a serious blow against De La Salle in their previous matchup back in September of 2023, falling 48-6. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
